Rojakpot has the ASUS press release for their new motherboard with the AMD 761 chipset and DDR support.

Says it will be available this quarter.

This November is going to be hutz. DDR266 RAM, AMD 761, and Athlon 266MHz FSB.

How much will a 128 DDR266(around $130???) and the ASUS 761($150??)

I know Athlon 1GHz (266MHz FSB) cost around $385.

Damn... It is going to be a pricy upgrade for me thats for sure.

Crucial lsts their 128MB DDR2100 for $143.99.

Since the street prices are always a good bit lower than the list prices, I would guess that the new Tbird 1GHz will run around $300.

I am also guessing that the new motherboards are going to be pricey, $175?

Even then, a whole lot less than P4/RDRAM setup. We still have to wait to see independent benchmarks for both setups.
