You can always try taking a few MM off the 8045 to make it fit. Generally when they say no... it means no. It's not worth damaging your heatsink to get it to fit. Instead, get a Swiftech MCX462. The MCX is Swifty's new rev of the 462. It has been redesigned to be compatibile (footprint differnt and more pins to increase surface area) with all socketA mmorthboards that adhere to AMD's specs regarding free space around the socket. The 8045 and MC462 do not.

Sk-6 is a good choice. Just don't get the delta unless you can handle low-pitched whines. You could go and get a 60-80mm fan adapter and then stick an 80mm on it, or there's a trick to mount a 80mm using the 60mm clips. The Swifttech heatsink is nice, but VERY expensive.

I was in the same boat as you, my friend. I went with the SK-6 myself along with an 80-mm Sunon case fan (turned sideways, no fan adapter) and the cooling performance is excellent and near silent at the same time.
