I wonder any body is having similar problem w/ this mobo:
System hung when Windows started loading (resident memory) programs such as Zone Labs, McAFee Anti-virus...It happened from time to time (1 in 6) when the computer is started from a cold (power off the previous day) state.

ASUS a7a266 + TBird 1GHz (200 FSB)
Latest BIOS+Ali Driver from their websites: aa261004+Ali
Integrated driver 1.04/AGP 1.80
2x256 MB Crucial 2100 DDR
OS: WIN 98SE
Radeon 64MB DDR
SoundBlaster Live! 5.1+MP3
IBM Deskstar 40GB-75GXP
Pioneer 16x DVD/TDK 12x10x32 CDRW

Thanks,

If you have 2 DDR DIMMs, you must change the position of the unmarked jumper located at the end of the AGP Pro slot, otherwise you will either not be able to boot or have major stability problems.

Thanks Andy,

I have tried various memory configuration such as:
1) 1x256 PC2100 DDR
2) 1x256 SDRAM PC133
3) 1x128 SDRAM PC150
Memory setting as default (managed by SDR) + Change setting to CAS2 ...(manually set w/ input from Crucial)

The problem still persists, however after it hung a RESET rather than a reboot (Ctrl+Alt_Del) will start it again w/o any problem until a 4th or 5th Restart from cold state then it would hang. Strange ...?
By the way a same set up w/ the similar components except memory used were SDRAM only w/ 2 other computers which were installed w/ MSI K7 Turbo mobo + 1.2GHz (266 FSB) and 1Ghz (200 FSB) still works w/o any problem (No hung up condition has happened so far after 3 months).

Seriously dude, if you have a Radeon, you have to have the mobo specific GART drivers installed if you want much to work. I had so much trouble with my radeon causing random trouble until I installed those. Try that and see if it helps. It'll probably have come on the mobo cd.
