Asus A7A-BIOS 1004 problem

I upgraded from version 1003b to 1004 and now the BIOS does not recognize my primary IDE device (HD). I have the BIOS set to auto recognition and also tried user defined but no luck. I flahed back to 1003b and now I have the IDE device back. What could be the problem?🙁
