<<which one would be the most stable?>>

MicroStar K7T Pro2A, never crashed during Anandtech lab stability test.

<<best for its value?>>

MicroStar K7T Pro2A. $113, lowest of the three.

<<best overall?>>

MicroStar K7T Pro2A. Most stable, best value, good performance, excellent board overall.

I vote for the Asus, they are all good boards but I think Asus has better customer support

i must refute about asus haveing excellent customer service. I tried RMA a video card that is still under warantee, and can't find a number on their website. I sent many e-mails, but all go unanswered...

I have 2 Asus A7Vs with Duron 600s@900. I have been pretty happy with them so far. However all is not perfect.

I can't seem to install Mandrake 7.2 using my setup (see sig) but, RedHat 7.0 installs just fine. I didn't have any problems using my Intel 810E motherboard, nor the ASUS P3V4X.

I was pretty successful at overclocking, but it wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination. I tried to use the bios for voltage settings, but it simply wasn't stable. I had to use the jumpers/dipswitches before I got a truely stable system. The fact that the A7V uses jumpers for voltage and dipswitches for multiplier settings sucks. It pales in comparison to my Abit BX6R2.

I am seriously considering replacing my A7Vs with MSI K7TPro2a's. I wanted to know if anyone had any thoughts on the matter. Anyone have experience with both boards? Anyone have problems with their K7TPro2a's?

I just built a computer last night using this configuration:

MSI k7t Pro2-A
Thunderbird 1000 oem w/superorb
128 PC133 Corsair Ram Cas 3 (set to cas2)
IBM ATA-100 45gig 7200 rpm harddrive
Creative Labs Annillator2 GTS (retail)
I disabled onboard sound and used Soundblaster 128pci
USR Hardware Modem PCI (had to give up my great ISA modem)
Goldstar 36x Cdrom
Creative CDRW
Intel Pro 10/100 NIC
Gravis Programmable Joystick
USB Optical Mouse
USB Microsoft Keyboard
Enlight Case (replaced 250watt with 300watt)

Using Windows 98SE

I've built my last 5 computers and this was the easest of them all.

Problems: On first boot screen in Dos was really fuzzy and scrambled. Thank God I could still read it well enough to format new drive. Once I hit Windows install it was clear.

Make sure to install VIA Chipset Drivers right away!!!

Total Build Time: 1 1/2 hours
Reasearch to buy parts:7 days

I purchased my parts from: Axiontech.com and PCProgress.com

System has been running 24hrs and no crashes. Quake3, UNrealTournament,Motocrossmaddness 2,CrimsonTides,Counter-strike.

No Overclocking yet, just happy my computer is up and going without crashing.

I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS BOARD. And this system kicks my PIII 560mhz's Ass.
