Hi, my Gigabyte socket 939 manboard just failed, after 2.5 years of fairly good use. I am considering buying a ASUS A8N-LA (for $60.) to replace it. Anyone out there have this ASUS MB or know anything about it?
A quick Google reveals comments that it's a custom made µATX MB for HP/Compaq and is only supported by HP, drivers are hard to find etc etc.
I'd only buy it as a last resort.
I have a brand new Asus A8N - SLI deluxe mobo just sitting in my garage at home. I actually won it as a prize, then never had the cash to assemble the rest of the system. A8N is just about the best mobo you can hope for a socket 939. Let me know if you are interested.
