Asus 8600GT/2600pro fan control?

thats somewhat weird.

i've had the evga, pny and a reference 8600gt (from a dell probably made by foxconn) and the fans on those have 4 pin pwmm fans (7600gts have 2 pin like this asus).

i think you'd probably just be better off getting an 8600gt with the standard pwmm since it definitely powers the fan down (hhonestly even at load the 8600gt fan on the ones i've used is still pretty much impossible to hear) and is much much quieter than the 7600gt at load and idle for 7600gts that did not power down fans
