ASUS 7800GT DUAL

It's a good idea I think, makes SLI less scary for the masses! I can't wait for nVidia to announce support for 4 chip SLI. However I'll just carry on dreaming for a bit.

"The larger issues with the product are in terms of size, price and availability. It simply won't fit in a large number of cases, it'll cost £615 including VAT in the UK on launch and while you'll get Call of Duty 2 with it, that's not nearly enough to cancel out the near £200 difference between the Dual and a pair of regular 7800 GTs in SLI. And with only 2000 pieces produced, getting your hands on one might be hard."

I'll take two 7800GTX in SLI for that price. 😀

Are you serious? The fact that you can rus SLI speeds with only 1 card for around the same price is a great reason to produce it. How is this a dumb idea in any way?

Price? Buying two single GT's, will be cheaper. You can bet on that. Heck, buying two GTX's will probably be cheaper. Its not a dumb idea, but doesnt look very pratical from a price stand point. I do like SLI on one card though.

Its a novel idea, but if it doesnt have a realistic price, it not very attractive.

Some people are willing to pay extra to have the fastest cards, and if this card draws very little power off of the main psu due to having it's own brick, it might save someone from buying a $100+ SLI PSU?

Beyond that, with news of nVidia supposedly working on quad SLI drivers, this might be good for quad sli on a two PCIE board?

You never know.
