Its reported that there will be at most 2000 produced and that theyll sell for around $900-$100 with supply/demand.

Gigabyte came up with the idea with the 3d-1. Came out of the box OCed, and came with a mobo. They made 2 other cards like it, and Asus was planning on this. Now Asus has it out, and I wanna trade my 3D-1 for it!!!

I'd rather have two eVGA 7800GT's for $700 total, and get a free mobo (x2).

BTW, I have a full tower, and I don't think this monster would fit.

Except the 3D-1 could only be used with the supplied motherboard, and its 2x6600GT's, which isnt the best SLI option.

This one looks nice, if it was priced right. Which it probably wont be.

OMG that card is tall!!! It would barely fit in my case, if at all. Aside from the stupid-ass cooling (one fan in the middle, what is that? Omni-directional? It's either gotta be loud or won't cool for sh!t), it looks cool. The card is as long as a city bus, but nevertheless it's a fairly 'elegant' 2 GPU on one board solution, otherwise. Looks to be similar to those silly dual 6600GT cards, and the 6600GT itself is a much smaller (and slower) card than the 7800GT.

Interesting that two pictures show a blue PCB and two show a red PCB, so there are several of these puppies already made :) . Are those two separate versions of the card? The red one seems to have an external power cable that you plug into the wall, while the blue one just has a single 6-pin ATX power plug on the end.

Either way, it's a very cool card to have; much more 'practical' (if you can use such a word in this situation) than those dual 6600GT's. Pretty decent o/c on that sucker too . Of course don't tell that last part to Rollo ;) .

Do you recall if that dual 6600GT card tested faster than two 6600GTs in SLI?

Sorry. But for the record, I did search for this topic and didn't find anything. Must've missed it.
