The ASUS 7800GT-DUAL card is pretty interesting as it seems. It has a single 6-pin molex connector to power two GPUs but it requires an external power source using an AC adapter. This card has two DVI-out and two VGA connectors. Not forgetting, it is a huge card so not all casings can fit this in.

my thoughts. if your going to have Dual this may be the way to go. what?s the advantage of having 2 cards in your pc? (besides the fact no one really makes single card dual solutions yet)

What's curious is that it has four total outputs...can all 4 output at once? It could actually be a Matrox-like solution (4 monitor) with the gaming abilities of a real card. Although I think I'd prefer all DVI.

I'm a little confused about the external power source requirement. I've run dual 7800GTX's of my SLI PSU with no issues, why not just put two 6-pin molexes on it? Adding the extra wall wart makes it kind of ghetto IMO. Other than that, this is pretty cool as a design excercise. As far as owning one... I would think that this card would probably be pretty expensive and would lose more re-sale value than two 7800GT's, which you could potentially sell to two different individuals. There will most likely be a decent number of people in the market for a single GT next year, but very few for this card. Either way, interesting card to say the least.

I didn't see any SLI connector up top. But it might be able to do it via software using the driver.

Well, seeing as there is a 4 x SLI Motherboard in the works (there is a thread on it here), I would say that it may be possible to do it.

Now think about this, four of thoes guys running SLI. Oooh mama!
