Asus 775 vsta-dual won't reads half memory

Hello to all!

I recently got this mobo and i am trying to upgrade it a bit. so i got a 2gb ram but the damn thing only reads half of it... i know it can take up to 2gb, says it on the manual.

running 3.10 bios.

any ideas? much appreciated! thanks!
