I am having trouble updating drivers for my vid card. Currently using Asus 6.31c, which work fine. When I try updating to any Asus or Det drivers of version 11.x/12.x/14.x/21.x I get a bunch of problems with Direct X games. In particular:
High Heat 2001 - Menu corruption and some in-game stuttering
Re-Volt - Monitor loses synch at startup, pressing enter gets it going again but with heavy screen shuddering
NFS Porsche - Monitor loses synch entering menus, synch returns after alt-tab to desktop
I have tried uninstalling all Asus software before updating, even re-installing games after updates. No luck. Re-installing 6.31c makes it all OK again.

Via 4in1 4.35 (prob has existed since 4.29)
256MB Generic PC133
Viewsonic PF790
