Asus 7600GS Silent versus EAX1600XT Silent

I'm looking to get a new silent graphics card, and am considering either the Asus 7600GS Silent (GeForce) or their EAX1600XT (ATI).

I'm not too worried about top of the line 3D performance. I would rather have something reliable that won't get overly hot. My case isn't crowded, but I don't have superb cooling or anything.

I've been trying to find a direct comparison of the two cards, but no luck. I hear the ATI card for example has better handling of TV in / out, which I may want to use in the future, but apart from that I'm in the dark as to their relative performance. Can anyone give me some tips as to what the advantages are for either? It would really help me decide.

Thanks,

7600GS silent review right here@Anandtech. Has score of a X1600XT as well.

pcstats review of the EAX1600XT

The X1600XT features ATIs' AVIVO (Advanced video in video out) which is overall a slightly superior multimedia solution to the 7600GS's PureVideo engine. The main benefit is you don't pay extra for the DVD-MPEG2 decoder as you have to with PureVideo.

Here is a firingsquad review of Avivo v. PureVideo Text EDIT: MY bad, here is the full write-up Text

The Asus X1600XT while it has the video in/video out you are interested in, be aware it doesn't provide HDTV component connectivity. You can use a DVI-to-HDMI adapter with HDMI HDTVs, don't know if HDTV is even a issue for you though.
