Is it a good one compared to the others? I can get it for the same price and seems like a good choice. What do you think of it? Is it noisy?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone?

Gainward is not an option.

Options are:

Aopen
PNY
Gigabyte
MSI
And Asus, all for almost the same price.

Thanks shady09 for bringing us that link! I have been searching for that card since one week (since this card has FINALLY made its way on Asus website) and had not been able to find a retailer that would ship to Canada. XPC gear seems to be the place to go since I haven't a price that low for that Asus. Newegg has it for 446$...

I am waiting a payment for stuff I have sold and as soon as I get $$$, then I will jump on it. I just hope there will be some left in stock bu then.

Oh, and McArra, to answer your question.. I would not hesitate to pay more for an Asus card. Asus is known for their quality. This particular GT, despite what you see on Asus website and XPC website, is built pretty much like an Ultra. I have compared pics from the Ultra and GT on newegg website and they are almost exactly the same. I say almost because the Ultra has 2 DVI connectors while the GT has 1 DVI and 1 VGA. Other than this, they phisically are the same.

Please, see this post on . A topic has been openned for that particular video card :

Hope this helps,

why would you choose this card over the other brands? the memory isnt covered like the reference series cooler...unless the copper makes up for it, but copper isnt everything as the bfg cooler has showed me...

About time Asus came out with a true GT. Their previous policy of offering either GT cores with 128 megs of RAM or regular 6800 cores with GT RAM but charging the same or just slightly below the normal price of a GT was shady at best, especially considering the consumer wasn't always made fully aware of what they were buying.

The ram is covered and has Ultra PCB. Also the cooler seems to be very efficient and looks are great. 20? more are worth that for me. Also a webcam in the pack and Asus quality. For me those are the reasons.

that is a cool looking cooler. i didnt know they switched to a new one. the one i saw in person was the same as the one shady posted in the link above at xpcgear, which does not have the ram covered. but wow, that price is ridiculous for a GT though...i just sold an x800 xt for that price...

i hope you paid less...

don't kid yourself, just because it's Asus does not mean it's better.. but good luck with the card :)
