Asus 6600gt fan noise

Anyone's Asus 6600GT make a high pitched whine?

Mine seems to make the noise when not under load, as in if I grab a window and move it around on the screen the sound goes away - as if more power use causes the fan to slow down just enough to not make this harmonic vibration whir noise.

If i could just slow the fan down a little, temps are fine.

I think ASUS only makes PCI-E. Do you have Smartdoctor installed?

PCI-E. I do have smartdoctor installed, but haven't change settings.

Put the fan speed in auto controlled in smart doctor.

I just loaded the help file for smart doctor. Whoah, my smart doctor only shows 2 sliders (engine and memory). no other options are available, as seen in the help. It looks like I dont have other options, the help says "NOTE: For graphics card models without a monitor IC, ASUS SmartDoctor provides only the overclocking function" hm.

There must by a "SETUP" somewhere. There's where you should look at.
