I just built my new system, here is my spec :

pentium 4 3.2G
DDR II 1G
ABIT AA8-Duramax Motherboard
ASUS EN6600 GT PCI-express
Creative Audigy 2 ZS SOund Card

MY problem is that the video card seems not work properly. WHen im playing games such as farcry or NFS uderground 2, the settings detect to low spec video card. how the hell is this happening? I guess the 3d functions on my card just not work here.

I have instaleed the lastest drivers from nvidia.

ANyone can help? thank in advance.

try a different driver and do not use those beta drivers. remember to uninstall the driver and reboot before installing new one.

I think this is not accurate since the best driver sets for Nvidia are BETA. Try VXG 71.20 drivers, they are just great. You can download them from Guru3d

I had the same problem with Far Cry. You have to make sure that you have the latest updates for Far Cry. It does have some lighting problems at higher detail levels. I am not sure about Need for Speed.

After updating from version 1.00 to 1.31 Far Cry detected my system a lot better, though still at medium quality and lower than what it was capable of.

I think this is a problem more of software than hardware and drivers. Manually change the quality levels in Far Cry to high and you should be able to play with no slowdowns.

And I would get the drivers directly from Nvidia. I am using the beta drivers on my 76.41 on my 6600 with no problems.
