I know that 4850's typically don't have a way to change the fan speed, short of messing with different wires coming off the card. However, I remember reading that an ASUS mobo plus an ASUS 4850 allows you to change the fan speed.

Where do I change the fan speed? Maybe I'm retarded, but I can't find an option anywhere.

Thanks.

I thought you could change the fan speed on Asus cards with SmartDoc?..It should be on the CD that came with your card.

Your other option is here.

I have that exact combo and smartdoc throttles the fan perfectly. As far as I can tell it is independent of my P5Q Pro software too. The smartdoc works pretty well. I use a custom semi auto mode where at certain temps (that I dictate) it changes the rpm. Really helpful since this fan is terribly loud at full throttle.
