Asus 280x Direct CUll Top different then ones reviewed

Hello all, I am new to the forums here and decided to join after researching the 280x for the past week or so. I decided to go with the Asus 280x Direct CUll Top, because of favorable reviews and the price performance ratio. Upon opening the box the card is much different then the ones I saw reviewed.

-It takes up 3 slots (not 2)
- it has 4 display ports and 2 DVI ports(like a matrix)
- it has a back plate
- the heat sink is entirely enclosed and covers whole length of the card


I am very happy with the card, but am wondering why it is completely different than what i though I was getting.
Is there another version of this card? Is it a Frakencard?

Sounds like you got a Matrix board.

I just looked at their website. They do indeed have three models of the board. A Dual slot with 1 display port, a triple slot with 4 display ports and the MATRIX.
