AsuAsus P4C800 Parity Error??

Hi i just finnished setting up my new comp , when i fire up i get 2beeps the book says parity error ( but what is it) ? and how do i fix this problem, and also i have to turn off hyper- threading (defult is on) or the min i go start to interneti get a fatal and it shuts down ,so fast i carnt even read the error message my cpu is a 2.6 800bus 512 cashe on 2 lots of ddr 2600 512 meg (i dont think this cpu supports hyper threading or not? any way some help would be nice to finnaly find out what is the 2 beeps all about ..... asus p4c800 bios 1006, windows XP home sp1 installed, ATI radion 9700 ( not the pro model) 512 ddr 266 ram cpu 2.6 800fsb 512 cache
