Another Aston Martin drop-top is on the way - and it's official. The Ford-owned firm has trademarked the design of the forthcoming V8 Vantage Volante with the Patent Office. Featuring a 4.3-litre V8, and delivering a 0-60mph sprint time

of around five seconds, the car (image) will retain the coupé's sleek lines and aggressive stance.

The two-seater has a fabric roof and will hit showrooms in 2007. It will cost at least £5,000 more than the £79,995 coupé.
