Aston Martin caught using Chinese counterfeit parts

Title is a little misleading.. Aston wasn't at fault for using the parts, the company that sold the counterfeit plastic to the company Aston bought the part from is the problem here.

The buck stops at Aston. If their executives wanted to cut corners to save a dollar, then they should be responsible for the consequences.

This is not Aston Martin's fault in the least.

Yes it is; China is well known for counterfeit parts. If Aston did even basic quality control and testing they would have caught it before it even got into a car, let alone 17k which is a lot for a car company like them.
They even now say they will not use China anymore and are sourcing it from a UK supplier now.

If this was GM it be on the front page of major news outlets on how they uses junk Chinese parts and what else is a ticking time bomb they have not found yet.
