Near-Earth asteroid 2010 RX30, which is estimated to be 32 to 65 feet in diameter, passed within 154,000 miles of Earth at 5:51 a.m. ET Wednesday, the website PopFi.com confirmed.

The second object, 2010 RF12, estimated to be 20 to 46 feet in diameter, will pass within 49,088 miles of Earth at 5:12 pm ET.

20 foot diameter ball moving at maybe 10,000 mph, assuming it's just "rock" would have an energy of about 0.83 kilotons. Hiroshima was ~15 kilotons. So a pretty big blast, but not city destroying, definitely not civilization ending.

assuming a 50 ft diameter of fairly dense stone traveling at average speed for an asteroid and striking at a 45 degree angle, it's closer to 200 kT.

That would put a cramp in the morning commute.

Last time I checked, earth has this thing called atmosphere which burns away millions of asteroids smaller than 200-500ft on a DAILY basis....

Ya I was thinking that too, 65 ft diameter would probably not survive long enough to hit the surface.

Would make a nice shooting star though.
