I am working a system for someone. It is an AST Advantage Adventure 575. They had the box at work and replaced it recently. Now they have the system at home and want to use it to surf the Web. The system is based on a mobo that has a UMC chipset, AMD 5x86-133 CPU, 8 MB RAM and a 14.4 modem. I had to replace the FD as the metal cover from a floppy was stuck in it.
I upped the memory to 32 MB and replaced the modem with a used 33.6 ISA hardware modem. After wiping the drive and reinstalling Win95b the modem is not recognized and will not install. I suspect that the OS did not pick up the PnP Chipset. I?m wondering if anyone knows where one can get the system drivers for Win95b? I?ve looked on ARI-Service, but they only supply s/w to put the system back to original state.
