i am sick and tired of having to look at my wirey mess inside of my Thermaltake Tsunami, and figure it is time to take some action on it.

Does anyone have any tips or hints in cable organization?

I will have pics of my setup soon to show you what I am talking about.
 
Anything that crosses the mobo, put it under the motherboard.

Anything involving power connectors and/or splitters, and IDE/sata cables, put behind the Hard disks rack things.

Extra power supply cable put inbetween a couple of CDdrives.

Tape extra wires into the corners of the case out of the way if they won't go anywhere else.

If all else fails, just don't look inside the case.

Also ziptie extra cable length together, much easier to hide excess cables when they're all in one bundle.

If you've got holes you can put the cables through, also look into putting things like SATA and IDE cables around the backside of the motherboard tray.

I know that the stock PSU that comes with the case is terribly inadequate in terms of wire length, and connectors supplied. He has two optical drives, two SATA drives, a 9800 Pro, and a DFI motherboard. It has plenty of wattage for the job, but most of his stuff is plugged into extenders and splitters due to the crappy PSU that thermaltake supplied (I have a retail TT PSU in my machine... 9 molexes, 2 SATA, 2 Berg, 20 Pin ATX and 12V connector, all the cables are plenty long, easy to route, and if I ever get around to sleeving it, it looks like all the cables are already seperated into groups).

What we did was pull off both sides of the case and route the front panel and top panel lines down the (looking at the front of the case) right side and then once we hit bottm, brought them across the bottom. There is a little metal stalk of sorts, right around where the hard drive cage go. Route the USB, Sound, Firewire, status lights, and switch cables around that and then plug them in. You want to take the 20pin and 12V connector around the bottom of the 5.25" cage and then plug them into your board. Just route the rest of the cables as best as you can, go slowly, and think about each step and what you want to accomplish.

I have a full sized Thermaltake case. If the Tsunami is anything like it, it comes with these comvienient, but messy connectors for the fans. Hard wire replace all that garbage if that's the situation here.
 
Twist tie, zip ties, zip tie anchors (available 20 to the pack at Radio Schlock and your local electronics parts stores) and hot glue (on low temp setting) does it for me. One of my local hardware stores has a pack of 500 zip ties for $3.00 last week...
