I am configuring a Samsung scx-6x45 series which supports SMB scanning, I am trying to get it to send scanned documents to a Windows XP based folder on the root of C. I have set it up for plenty of people in my office on other scanners (unlike this one), but this particular one has extra fields I'm not used to seeing (including "share name")

Here's a shot of the SMB User setup page:

I verified her username and password is correct, I haven't had to type our domain on previous SMB setups, but I tried it with and without anyway (hpn).

The folder is on C: \Scans where I have her username added under security permissions as full control, but I'm used to just typing the name of a folder that's on the root for this field, hence why I just have "Scans."

So it MAY be the folder name, but my other guess is either the port number or "share name"

Anyhelp would be great!

It should be the folder name by default, but you can change the Share Name to be whatever you want (see below):

Why do you think the port to send to on your server is TCP port 21? Are you running an FTP server? Section 7.5 of the manual for the Samsung SCS-6345N (that's the only Samsung multi-function that I could find with the model name "SCX-6x45") says the default is TCP Port 139. If that doesn't work, try TCP 445.

And, yes, you've got the "Share Name" correct.
