I just bought this after seeing the E30 M3 and Lotus Elise on an awesome hillclimb track(user mod).

It's a phenomenal sim. The tire model is one of the best I've felt. It's also great to play a modern sim with DX11 graphics and natively supports 900 degree wheels. It's great to not have to fiddle with steering ratios to get the high rotation wheels to work right.

That track looks amazing, where did you happen to download it? I love the E30 M3 in this game handles so well.

I downloaded here.

I seriously hope there will be much more hillclimb tracks. I enjoy them immensely more than tracks. It is promising, however, that the developers are very open to the modding community.

That's actually a stage converted from Richard Burns Rally. Any word if they are doing gravel/snow physics as well? There have been some pretty big stages made for RBR - would be killer if they could go into another modern sim.

I'm necroing this thread because there don't appear to be any other main discussions about this game on the forums.

For those not in the loop, Assetto Corsa made it out of early access and officially released a few months back. It's arguably the best driving simulator available on Steam, and although the selection of vehicles and tracks isn't as good as some other games, the accuracy and attention to detail in the vehicles + tracks + physics is absolutely top notch.

In a few days they're releasing the first DLC pack ("Dream Pack 1") which includes 10 new vehicles and a new track, the track most notably being Nurburgring-Nordschleife. Technically you can download mods that will add this track to the game but the quality of the first-party content of this game beats out everything else. The official version of Nordschleife is laser-scanned and has every bump, dip, etc, etc that the real track has. If you pre-order the DLC pack it's only $10. Pretty good deal.

I'm thinking about grabbing the DLC. They've fixed the Xbox 360 controls to what it was awhile ago, so it's back to being enjoyable.

Agreed, the Xbox controller config is a lot more refined now than it was a while ago. Been playing this way for the past couple days and it's quite playable. Still wish I had a proper wheel setup though.

I'm playing with a T500 and the physics and force feedback is simply outstanding.
