The description sounds a BIT different from the game...

I think the time travel aspect is great...

Leave out the whole FIRST ONES thing...
 
I like Michael Fassbender, but the Assassins Creed sci-fi ancestor crap always seemed completely pointless. So I don't really think the concept will make a good movie to begin with.
 
I wonder if they'll fix texture and resource pop-in for this, or if they'll just patch the movie after its release.
 
On a more serious note though. We've known about this for a while now. I wonder if it's a new character/story, or if they're going to rehash Desmond's capture. He was a bartender and was forced into the Animus.

If it sucks (which it almost certainly will, unfortunately), I will estimate now that it is because of a terrible script above all else. I do hope its good though. Might be the way forward for a franchise that wants to tell a story about Abstergo but is plagued by customers that want nothing to do with Abstergo. For me, that was the most interesting part of the series. I'm not into how they dumbed it down in 4 & unity.

From the announcement it seems like this will be the story.

Personally I did like the First Civ/TWCB but the reasons for having it was a bit stupid...

Not sure if this is spoilery or not, so be advised.

Oh lets stop a solar flare from wiping out earth, but the only way to warn about it is to bury it in the genetic memory of "awaken" humans, those born of TWCB and the slave humans
 
So we'll get a half finished movie with no female main characters (too hard to hire actresses) that only runs smoothly on one specific brand of IMAX projector?

People were saying that Prince of Persia: Sands of Time would suck. Personally I thought it was a pretty enjoyable movie!

There is hope.
