Just finished up the latest in the series. Definitely the best one yet - loved the story and thought it was a great ending to the Altair and Ezio storylines. I know the new "den defense" element annoys a lot of people, but I actually really enjoyed that aspect of the game. All in all, I'd say the compelling story kept me interested through the entirety of the game, the platforming/dungeon sections were very entertaining, and when the game ends it leaves you with a sense of satisfaction.

Now I just gotta wait and see where the hell they're taking this series.

Very cool, glad to hear that. I played AC2 on the PS3 and thought it was enjoyable, but nothing memorable that would make me want to play it again down the line. All of the missions became pretty generic and kind of melded together after a while. I'll have to pick this one up once it goes on sale.

I've been playing through Assassin's Creed 2 recently. The one thing I wish would be fixed is the camera control with the mouse. It seems a bit sticky. I hear that Revelations doesn't have that problem.

Its kinda a tough with a mouse, but I used a 360 controller for ACB and it was pretty good.

I played AC2, but neither Brotherhood nor Revelations. Do I need to play Brotherhood to continue the story?

you don't "need" to, but I think it's one of those games that if you don't play each part of the series, you don't really get the full effect of the story. There's nothing in Revelations that is contingent on Brotherhood, but there's no reason not to play it first either.

Thankfully, I don't use controllers.

Most of the console games that are ported over to PC just play better with a controller. The key bindings for AC for example, seemed all over the place. After 5 min I plugged in the controller and things were smooth.

Still trying to finish Brotherhood. I'm not quite drawn into it as much as AC2 did. Is Revelations any more involving than Brotherhood?

Yeah, I really love the Ezio stories. From a young man to an old man - it's very rare that games put this much into a quality main character. You should check out the video Assassin's Creed Embers for a round up of Ezio's story. Beautiful. Going to go get Revelations now.

Can't believe the voice actor for Ezio is totally not Italian.
