Well, I put together a system for my friend and installed assassins' creed from direct2drive.com
Problem is that I installed it and it worked fine. Then I updated and doesn't work at all. I have uninstalled and installed it... same thing... Double click the Icon on the desktop and doesn't do anything... Tired going to assassin's creed folder and use the Directx9.exe version and it doesn't work. It works on my computer fine with full update to 1.02.
Tried updating directx from the "CD" (or in this case the install .zip directx folder that I extracted). Used the Directx9 version from the assassins' creed foler and that doesn't work...
Not sure what is going on... Tried everything I can think of. Made sure all drivers are updated. Nvidia motherboard drivers and graphics drivers... Any help is much appreciated
Other games work fine... Just assassins' creed... Just strange that it just stops working even after a full uninstall and reinstall...
