Looks exactly as I expected when this was announced. Another bad video game movie.

Other than the absurdly placed rap vocals, it wasn't a terrible trailer. It'll be pretty soulless action but I wouldn't expect much else.

AC made a great game, but there are too many things that you have to keep track of. 90 minutes just wont be enough time to unwrap each of them in a way that is even remotely satisfying.

There'll be two plots - one inside the animus, one outside. Two is too many for 90 mins.
The animus itself is a huge stretch, and you know they will just "plug it in and go" rather than actually take time to ease the audience into it (e.g. the way the matrix did; training programs, lengthy explanations, etc.).
Parkour for the sake of Parkour just sucks in movies. If this was more "Jackie Chan" and less "check out how many sweet backflips I can do before I kick you" I would have higher expectations.
You KNOW this movie is going to be hated my one or more religious groups. Not sure which group yet, but it'll come soon.
Establishing the Assassins was fairly well done in the first game imo. It will absolutely not be well done in this movie, guaranteed. 90 mins just isn't enough time.

It's just so unlikely to be good. I hope it is good, but it won't be.

I enjoyed the Prince of Persia movie. I think I'm the only person who did. But I did.

So I have hope. But not much.

Looks as bad as the games.

Everything I associate with assassins is to do with killing quickly, discreetly and stealthily as a professional killer. Just like the games it just looks like brawling with everyone, they should just call it Pub Brawl Creed or punch up in the streets creed.

I don't see any real reason for there to even be a movie...

I did plenty of quick/discreet/stealthy killing in the game series. Quite enjoyable to take someone down while walking in a crowd and non-nonchalantly walk away and then hear the anguished yells.

I'm a big Michael Fassbender fan. I will probably see it when it comes out on home video, but my expectations are low. If anything can make this movie good, he could.

I agree here. I'll probably rent it when it releases at home or something just to say I watched it. I don't expect it to be good though.

I did that a lot too and I would scout an area to avoid guards constantly. Sure you could run in and fight 5 guys at once but I played it like I expected a real Assassin to act. Go in stealth and take out guards silently before getting to the target. Running away when things get hectic.

They are ruining it just like they did with the Prince of Persia. Only worst this time.

The sound track for the trailer was beyond horrible. I really want video game movies to be good, but the majority of them are just crap. Really hoping the Warcraft movie is good.

The real problem for me is many games are like movies already with superb voice acting, real emotion from characters, good character building, some really well thought out storylines etc. Putting together a movie without the same VAs we remember from the games and the characters looking different than we are used to doesn't seem to fit well. Plus Hollywood sucks these days at creating a real impactful story for their movies. They are content to churn out yearly super hero fan service and reboots instead. Strange...that's what happened to some of the video game industry with yearly releases and releasing HD remasters.
