Is Assassin's Creed IV on Wii U worth getting?

I saw a screen grab recently of a shark attacking a small boat in game. That got me more interested in the game.

Are events like that a rarity/one off type thing?

You can go shark hunting wherever there is a shark or whale icon on the map. As far as Wii U gameplay goes, I'm not sure. However the game was pretty decent on the PS3.

AC4's an awesome game worth owning on any platform. Pick it up if you're interested, they did a wonderful job with the Wii U version.

I agree, AC4 is a good game.

But the whaling/shark hunting things are like little mini-scenarios. You're not going to be sailing the seas and then all of the sudden 'OMG SHARKNADO!'

I don't think I'd buy the game just for that.

EDIT: Depending on how cheap it is. Under $20, maybe...

Gamestop has it on sale for 20 bucks new so I'll grab a copy.

It would be a perfect pirate game if only it had insult sword fighting. Definitely worth owning. I assume the Wii U version is the same as the PS3/360 ones. For $20, it's a steal.

I want to pick up a copy for my X1. It's dropped to $25 in some cases but still have a hard time justifying it since I own it for X360. I do want to play through it again I think.
