Assassin's Creed III coming this fall

Ubisoft today confirmed when it will release Assassin's Creed III this fall.
The game will arrive on October 30, the publisher said. No other details were announced.
"We will push the title a lot because it's a fantastic product that the team has been working for three years," said CEO Yves Guillemot. "What we have seen is just fabulous."
Not sure if gusta :hmm:

I gave up after playing 10 hours of Brotherhood...It's like a call of duty game: same game, different background pictures.

I think I'll keep playing the numbered AC's, but I'll pass on the named ones like Brotherhood and Revelations.

Brotherhood was II but even better. Just picked up Revelations, haven't played it yet.

I guess I just haven't gotten bored of stabbing people in the neck yet. 😉

I liked Brotherhood. But releasing revelations so soon just split up their MP community, which I found to be a refreshing twist on a MP game. Now they will do it again, just like CoD. I don't see why publishers/developers just don't release these reiterations as DLC of the first. Has the engine changed that much from one to the other? Then again that's why I just play the games, not make them
Lol.

Never got past the first one. Played for a few hours and got tired of doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over again. Graphics where amazing but game play suffered.

Brotherhood was real good, but I think a lot of that had to do with the city being really interesting and varied. Rome connects way more with me than Constantinople.

Revelations was good, had some interesting story stuff with an aged Altair and Ezio, but they just piled mechanics into it to the point where its just too complicated. The city is pretty bland, and I wasn't sure who I was killing or why, just chasing some mcguffins around.

And on top of that, I was just not feeling their new "deathmatch" mode. The old standard mode (now called wanted) where you had to blend in with the crowd of AI is just downright awesome and super original...it took a backseat to a lame new mode.

They've def got to streamline it for AC 3. Revolutionary America should be an interesting setting at least.

The first one was a genuinely mediocre, maybe even bad game. 2 and brotherhood are way, way better...you'll just be a little tired of it by the time you get to revelations.

I'm trying to play those games should I bother with getting brotherhood and revelations? 😕

I really enjoyed 2 and Brotherhood. I own Revelations but haven't played it yet. I've always been a year behind on this series so I imagine it'll be the same with this one as well.

I've been having a hard time getting into revelations, I'm still burned out from Brotherhood. I'm not a fan of them releasing the next one so soon.

I definitely enjoyed AC1 and AC2 to an even greater degree. I did not get the same enjoyment from Brotherhood (more like a mini-game collection in AC skin and less about delivering a substantial plot). I'm not even planning to get Revelations, given the reviews and how I feel about its predecessor.

Here's hoping AC3 will go back to the AC roots but I'm not getting my hopes up too much.

I still haven't bought Revelations yet. It's not because I didn't enjoy the others, I'm just busy with other games at the moment.

The assassins creed series are some of my favorite games. Unfortunately I left all 3 (1, 2, and Brotherhood) at one of my old places when I moved out and never got them back.

Disagree. I found Brotherhood to be buggy and I didn't care for most of the extra stuff. AC2 was spectacular and I played the hell out of it, but I shelved Brotherhood after 10 hours or so never to look back.

Also, are they going after the GTA numbering scheme?

I bought AC 1/2/Brotherhood during last years Steam summer sale. Beat the first one and can't even stomach looking at the sequel for at least another 6 months. I guess there's no way I'll ever be caught up on the series if they start releasing them at a COD pace.

In it's defense, the 2nd one is worlds better than the 1st one and was much closer to what we expected in the first place. So far everything after AC2 has been incremental changes, but the jump between AC1 to AC2 was huge.

1 or 2 more and everyone will be sick of the franchise until a 'reboot' a few years later. Rinse and repeat.

I wish we could get to a happy medium between where most Japanese devs only release a new game in a franchise every 5-7 years, and companies like EA/Activision where they do yearly releases.

A quality game every 2-3 years is nice. Once every year is really over-kill IMHO.
