Yeah, those graphics are absolutely stunning... only question is, are they being rendered in real-time by the engine; i.e., will gameplay graphics be of the same quality?

From a gameplay standpoint, I LOVED the first AC... I can't wait to see what they're doing this time around, and I love that they're taking risks by using time periods gamers hardly ever get to explore!!!

I haven't been this excited about a non-COD or non-Forza game in a long, long time.
 
Sigh. I wanted to like the original, I really did... but while it was impressive graphically, gameplay was so damned unimpressive and repetitive that I never bothered finishing it. Another major gripe is that it was shallow - it felt created specifically for the meanest console gamer's understanding. They really should've fleshed out the historical aspect a bit more, but instead we got the most generic of generic worlds, filled with generic, uninteresting characters.
 
I guess I'm one of the few people who fully enjoyed everything about the first AC and I think it's safe to say that even if they didn't change anything at all, I would still be very happy with ACII (but of course they are going change stuff and hopefully they listen to all the people whining about not enough content). One more game on the wishlist...

The trailer was under the Xbox section for IGN, is it confirmed that they are releasing this on PC?
 

That sucks. I didn't get but 4 or 5 hours into the first one. I feel like I'm missing something if I don't pick this one up - but if it's anything like the original, I won't like it. Controls were too wonky. Camera was too consolish. And it was repetitive at best....

Exactly. Hellgate has pretty CGI movies too...

Hopefully, it will be less repetitive and nicer graphics. Also, would be nice if theys didn't pull that "we're still polishing the PC version" BS and release all versions simultaneously.
 
Lol of course that CG trailer won't look like in game- in fact there is an in game demo walkthrough video up on that site now- looks awesome. I really enjoyed the first AC (played it on PS3 though) and this one has some more cool looking assassinations and gadgets.

reading initial reviews, i really wanted to get this for my ps3. Then I hear the after thoughts about so many areas, controls, gameplay, background story..didn't even consider it for my pc.

Trailer looks great though. I always appreciate a good intro trailer.

Me either. I enjoy it in spurts.. but I can't work up the motivation to finish it.
