Assassins Creed for PC - requirements?

I've seen very little of Assassin's Creed on the PS3, but I liked what I saw.

Is this going to have Crysis-like requirements on the PC, or HL2 requirements? Any clues?

Perhaps he was looking for not only an answer, but further discussion on the matter?

However, I do agree with you. Google is your friend; Forums are your backup. :)

One thing is for sure, it will be interesting to see how well Ubisoft is able to make it play on PC's. If they release anything near the quality of the console versions it's going to fail terribly.

based on the requirements alone - my guess is a shitty port

Not really :! the game is huge :( as in the city are damn huge and each city is sort as big as GTA city but at the same time game looks ten times better than GTA :! so it maybe crap port but its good game that has stupid plot :(

Yeah IMO its going to be a shitty port much like Lost planet....will run like a dog even on the latest hardware, might get like 3 patches and have compatibility and performance issues. Suffice to say I don't expect much but then again Ive completed it on PS3 so this won't find its way into my inventory.

Well they did decide to add extra stuff to the game in terms of side-stories... even if it turns out decent, I'll play it since there's nothing else out

Good start for sure, but recommended specs are so hit and miss in terms of actual gameplay experience. They should really list a resolution or setting as well. That being said, those specs are pretty heavy, so ya it'll probably be a poorly optimized port.

Yes, confirmed they're adding 4 extra missions to the PC version and a "Director's Cut" version. 4 missions is actually a good amount of content considering it took me an average of 45mns for each one on console.

I just finished this game on XBox 360 (a rental), and will probably be picking it up since it was fun, and I could see replaying it. Plus, I expect you could bump up the resolution and iq - this game looks terrific already on 360 and PS3. Plus, the music is crazy good - the part when you first walk into Jerusalem is amazing.

The only requirement that Assassin's Creed demands is that you toss it in the trash. Seriously, save your $$$, the game is awful.

awful? it got an average ranking of 82% on Game Rankings, I take single reviews with a grain of salt, but when almost 70 magazine/websites review a game this well, I'm going ot go with the fact it's probably pretty good. Could have gotten a much higher average but a few idiots mags ranked it @ 50% and I see 2 pages of %90+ scores. *shrug* to each his own.

Probably going to be a bad port. After my GH3 for PC experience, I will not be getting this. I have the 360 version and will just have to be content.

A friend of mine was saying 360 version sucks, you do the samething over and over again,I hope the PC version is a lot better or I won't buy it.Lets hope reviews for the PC version are very positive.

Gameplay wise, yes it does get repetitive, but I was speaking in terms of graphics. Both consoles have major slowdown and tearing issues, that are frankly unacceptable.

The game itself I think was awesome, it IS a good game it's just the performance/issues that usually come with ports i can see being the problem.
