Assassin's Creed Brotherhood DRM Question

I really liked the last game, but I just read this neat little disclaimer at the bottom of STEAM's page:

A PERMANENT HIGH SPEED INTERNET CONNECTION AND CREATION OF A UBISOFT ACCOUNT ARE REQUIRED TO PLAY THIS VIDEO GAME AT ALL TIMES AND TO UNLOCK EXCLUSIVE CONTENT. SUCH CONTENT MAY ONLY BE UNLOCKED ONE SINGLE TIME WITH A UNIQUE KEY. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 13 TO CREATE A UBISOFT ACCOUNT WITHOUT PARENTAL CONSENT. UBISOFT MAY CANCEL ACCESS TO ONLINE FEATURES UPON A 30-DAY PRIOR NOTICE PUBLISHED AT http://assassinscreed.com

I knew about their ridiculous DRM, and dealt with it begrudgingly with ACII,

But what is this BS about canceling online features upon their discretion?

What the hell is "online features"? Does that actually mean the game itself?

:\

Please, let's not let this be a DRM screamfest. I just want some clarification on the bolded issue.

Got me for a second there - FYI, it's delayed (on PC) until early next year. The DRM sucks, but II was a great game.

Anyone else want to join celebrating the regression of PC gaming?

It's still great overall. Too many publishers (see: Rockstar - Red Dead Redemption, Whoever/Microsoft? - Alan Wake, Ubisoft - EVERYTHING) are disrespecting the platform by raising prices and needlessly delaying releases. I *want* to play these games, and as bitter as I am I would pay for them on release day, but there is other stuff out there in the meantime.

...Just hope it doesn't get worse.

I hate delayed releases, and I hate the Ubisoft DRM. On the other hand, it looks like Ubisoft is returning to the $50 price point on the PC for Brotherhood. Baby steps?

It's currently $39.99 on STEAM...
