I got the game yesterday and installed it.

The game played fine for the first hour or so but once I got into the Frontier, the issue started.

Once I'm in the snow, especially deep/powdery snow, the textures start flashing like crazy and the shadows start flickering like mad!

This happens with all combinations of settings; Normal --> Very High. I tried playing around with the different AA settings in game and that didn't help. I turned AF on through NVIDIA Inspector to no avail. Keeping that off also didn't help resolve the issue.

With everything maxed out including TXAA, the game plays great at around 50 FPS with about 2800MB of VRAM used @ 4800x2560.

This flickering issue is really annoying and I'm not sure how to get it fixed. As I said earlier, this is ONLY in the snow in the Frontier; every other place like the towns, opera house etc. are perfectly fine - no issues at all.

Here's a video of it happening:

I'm having problems with game just crashing once I get to Boston, Its not a FPS issue, its a game/driver issue that is unresolved. SLI 580s and when i walk for about 5min the driver crashes, you can still here the voice in background talking, just the video dies.

No clue what to even try to fix this.

Can you disable one card, and try again ?
Your right, sounds like a driver issue of some kind.

Disabling SLI fixed it. Well so far it has in the last hour of play. I guess SLI is not up to par for this game yet.

Hmph.. disabling SLI is not an option for me. Playing at 5160x2560 is impossible with 1 GPU. That's why I have 4-Way SLI. :D

Besides SLI, check to make sure your cards aren't OCed... even factory. I had lots of problems with it until I dialed my 570 back down to reference speeds (stock had a slight OC). I don't mean just YOUR overclock, I mean googling your exact model to ensure it's not clocked any different than the reference model. I don't know why it's so touchy but it is.

Definitely a driver issue, I am running a AMD 7970 with 12.11 Beta drivers and I have no flickering at all.

Has a game ever been released that worked properly with SLI/Crossfire without patches? I find nothing surprising here.

Playing at 5160x2560 is impossible with 1 GPU.

Don't play at 5160x2560 until it is fixed then, problem solved.

Yes most games I play don't have issues. Seems just console ports do.

Anyway, seems some people have SLI working fine, others have to tinker a lot to get it to work. I will just wait to see if a patch fixes it.
