That’s very unfortunate but if he really did start posting pics of the Ecuadorian presidents family etc he kind of sealed his own fate. The next few days will be very interesting.

May get to find out what behind those insurance packages of his after all.

Why is that unfortunate? Looks like the insurance packages were all talk, but that is nothing new from this charlatan.

Because this is the US government going after revenge for Assange being a thorn in he side of world governments for a decade now. He wasn’t evicted for being a poor tenant, that’s the story and nobody would ever lie right. There is much more behind the scenes than we are being told and has been for years. You guys try to downplay his significance because he harmed your gal but he’s definitely a significant figure politically. Trying to marginalize him and say that he’s not engaging in journalism casts a dark shadow over the field, if you release story’s that the government doesn’t like you can be silenced. Manning, Snowden, and yes Assange make the world a better place.

https://www.imf.org/en/News/Article...-imf-executive-board-approves-eff-for-ecuador

March 11, 2019

The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today approved a US$ 4.2 billion (435 percent of quota and SDR 3.035 billion) arrangement under the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) for Ecuador. The Board’s decision enables the immediate disbursement of US$652 million (equivalent to SDR 469,7 million, or 67.3 percent of Ecuador’s quota). This arrangement provides support for the Ecuadorean government’s economic policies over the next three years.

Yeah no coincidence

Gawd. Assange would be doing splendidly had he not conspired to hack US govt computers. That's the only charge leveled against him. That act was outside the scope of ethical journalism entirely.

The schadenfreude in him potentially being locked up by the Trump admin after all he's done to help them is pretty tasty, I'll admit. If that makes me a bad person I can live with it.

I wonder if any opinions of Assange will be changed if it’s proven he worked with Russian hacker groups

Not really as much of what he has released has uncovered massive wrongdoing by our government such as near universal evesdropping and the unlawful killing of civilians by our military. It's the kind of thing that all of us should want exposed and shouldn't require "Russian hacker groups" to do it for us. If anything the Russian hackers deserve medals for exposing misdeeds to the public.

What misdeeds have Russian hackers exposed? I hope you're not putting DNC & Podesta emails into that category...

Who is my gal? Please do not jump to conclusions just because you want this to become a political attack from my part. Maybe you cannot handle people seeing through Assange's smoke screen. Assange is so nice he smeared Seth Rich and if he is a journalist why do all his wikileaks helpers have to sign NDA's? That is the surest sign Assange is a Charlatan.

the real question is was Assange always a power hungry a*hole or did he become one once wikileaks made him famous?
