Hello everyone. So I'm going to explain this to the best of my ability, if I don't explain something right, just let me know and I'll try to reexplain it.

I built a new computer yesterday, and it booted up just fine, installed windows and started playing games at max settings, it was awesome.

This MORNING I woke up and decided to organize the cables a little better to make it look more clean. So I disconnected some of the fan cables and the power cables one by one, each at a time, and routed it to go behind case.

I plug everything back in and I went to turn the computer on, and some of the fans were not spinning or lit up, so I checked and realize that I plugged them into the wrong spot. I plugged them into the correct spot and they turned on and started spinning, but it was at this moment I realized my monitor is not displaying anything, no bios or anything.

I'm still learning, but apparently this is called a "No Post"?

Every time I turn the computer on, all the fans and led turn on, even the LAN port blinks, and some of the USB devices get powered(except the keyboard), but the Monitor never displays anything. I'm also not hearing any beeping from the Mobo...

I tried many things to fix this, I tried using only 1 ram stick, and I tried each slot at a time. I even tried using NO ram to see if I hear a repetitive beaping, and not a single beep or noise.

I assumed that the Mobo is faulty so I ordered a new one and it should be here in a couple days. Any suggestions or opinions? I thought that if a Mobo was dead it would not power fans and stuff? Is it possible that just a part of the Mobo is faulty?

Any thoughts guys would TRULY be appreciated. And let me know if you need me to give any more detail on anything. Thank you so much guys.

Make sure the CPU fan is in the CPU fan power connector. Make sure you re-connected the aux power connectors on the motherboard and video card.

Yup 8pin CPU power was defintley connected, checked multiple times. All wires were properly connected. I mean, the computer was working fine....now it won't post. Was it a safe bet to assume it was the motherboard? I already ordered a new one going off this assumption

Power switch, power supply, and grounding "should" be able to be ruled out unless the fans are shutting down on their own after a brief period.

Have you tried resetting the BIOS? If that doesn't help, what components do you have, specifically, motherboard, CPU, and video card?

Oh and the fans never shut off or anything like that...everything powers up and remains powered just fine, just no display or beeping, no bios or windows.

Remove the video card and plug the display into the video port on the board. Do a bios reset (look at your manual if you don't see where this jumper is). Removing the battery for reset usually takes a lengthy time, where as a BIOS reset jumper is pretty much instantaneous.

I will try this. You think it's possible the board could be fine? What does resetting the bios do exactly? Can resetting bios actually fix a board that is not posting?

I guess what I'm trying to say is, just because a board is not posting, does not neccesarily mean its a bad board?

Reset just puts it back to default. Would take it back to the settings it had when you first installed it. Don't know if it will fix the issue, but worth a shot. I have seen this work before.

Try removing the battery and power cable for 15-30 mins, just to be sure.
