Hi all.
I was using an Asrock Z77 PRO4, but was damaged in a storm.
I decided to switch to a socket 1150 and saw some Z87 models.
Now I do not know which one to choose, I believe PRO4 be enough, but I wonder if there is an advantage of which are listed below, in respect of PRO4.
Extreme 3
Extreme 4
Extreme 6
Extreme 9
OC Formula

Does anyone know the best details on these boards?

I just bought the Extreme4 from Newegg. It had most the same features as the other boards and is currently $42 off at $117! Great price. Plus I really liked the HDMI In feature so I can plug in my PS Vita/consoles and use my PC monitor for playback.

It works but can be expensive and isn't always available on the things you buy. The way I look at it...if my board/external device has it than great...otherwise USB 3.0 is just fine. I've bought over 25tb's in external drives this year on sale and rarely have I seen one that had Thunderbolt and still was a good deal. Most of the ones I see with it come with a cost premium attached to it.

Pro4 will get the most bang for your buck, can still SLI. The others are just the high end overclocker boards. I'd personally go with a pro4 or extreme4, whichever is cheaper since they're so similar. http://www.asrock.com lets you compare them nicely to see what one offers vs another, pro4 uses gold caps, which are the best caps. Slightly less ports, but it depends how much you have already you are going to add to it, etc.
