I'm not sure if this is even a real problem....but it's new to me.
Whenever I start up my computer, the ASrock splash screen stays on the screen for a good 10-15 seconds.
When i press Tab to see what it's doing, it's not doing anything...at least it's not showing anything.
it just has the copyright, bios revision and the date.
Then it after 15 seconds it shows the typical bios stuff and proceeds to load windows (windows loads within 10 seconds..SSD rocks!)

I'm normally used to having the Bios splash screen disappear within 5 seconds and start up windows....
But I also used a very old mob and had a regular SATA HDD...

Is this typical behavior or is there something wrong with my mobo?
If I press Del to get into setup, it takes the same 10-15 seconds as well.

Here are my specs.

I had that problem today with an Abit P35 mobo. It was displaying the logo splash screen for a while, like 20-30 seconds. I think that it was having trouble detecting the HD.

Let me check to see if I have "quick boot" enabled in bios...
I remember the bios set the CPU fan by default to MAX so I had to manually change that as well.

@VirtualLarry, what steps can I take to help my bios find my SSD drive?
Looking into this, I have a Crucial M4 128GB

Ok, so it wasn't the legacy USB drivers. (I disabled them and it was still slow)
I was unable to find a quick boot option. THere was Intel Rapid Start or something....but it made no difference as well....
lost on options :(
