ASRock Z77 Extreme9 Motherboard

ASRock recently launched this motherboard. Its major feature is 4-way SLI and Crossfire support but its price is way too high ($400) as compared to other boards of this calibre.

Here is a review of this motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme9 Review

What are your views about this? I think Gigabyte G1.Sniper 3 is a way better option at much better price.

Yeah definitely priced wrong. Even the Gigabyte Sniper is priced wrong IMO. All these fancy "gamer" boards are a waste of money. Just get yourself an Asrock Extreme6, Asus P8Z77-V or Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H and you will likely have every feature you'll ever use. 4 way SLI/X-Fire is something I can't see ever putting to use.

I read a review of the Gigabyte Z77 Sniper 3 and the reviewer thought it was a decent board for the money. The Creative audio chipset was a disappointment for music and movies (great for gaming). I guess that's the target audience though.

I think Gigabyte still needs to work on their BIOS for the Z77 boards.

The Asrock Extreme9 looks interesting, but the price will be too much.

I read one that said something similar. It is meant to compete with the Sabertooth etc line I think. It's priced in that region. I have always read about Gigabyte being ahead of the curve on board design and quality but the software that runs it is lacking. I don't know whether or not to believe people I see online or not. I am looking to upgrade and need to decide on a mobo but I can't make up my mind at all. The search continues.
