I just bought this mb 2 days ago and stuck it in my pc and everything seemed to be good except I get no sound from the front or back. I busted off the little piece of plastic on the pci slot so I can't return it. But I don't know if the audio ports are broken or not. When I am in the bios and check the system browser and mouse over the audio part it says disconnected. Is there a way to connect it? I've tried all I can think of doing. The drivers are all working. I can plug my speakers in to my keyboard and get sound but I would really like to use the ones on the pc. So does it say its disconnected because its broken or is there something I need to do to connect it? I am using P2.70.

I wouldn't worry so much about the BIOS. I didn't know that the BIOS even did audio jack detection. Must be a new thing.

Anyways, worry about what Windows says. Did you install the appropriate Windows audio drivers for your mobo/chipset, and did you plug your speakers in the GREEN rear jack? (2.0/2.1 speakers)

In my bios I can mouse over any part of the motherboard and it tells me what it is. If I click that part it tells me what is connected to it.

Windows tells me "This device is working properly." All the software stuff is good. I've tried every hole. Front and back. The only way I get sound is if I plug my speakers into my G510 keyboard. That's how I know for sure that the audio is working. Just not from the front or rear jacks.
