I just ordered a pair of 128GB Samsung 951 PCI-E 3.0 x4 AHCI M.2 SSDs, to go with my Z170 Pro4S boards and G4400s.
I want to Crossfire a pair of 7950 cards in the first rig, and a pair of 270X cards in the second rig.
Will the M.2 PCI-E x4 slot take any lanes away from the video cards?
I think that the (sole) M.2 slot is wired with both PCI-E 3.0 x4 ("Ultra M.2 32Gbit/sec"), and two SATA6G ports (for double-sided M.2 SATA SSDs).
If I plug in a PCI-E 3.0 x4 SSD, does that also use up two SATA ports? Or can I use all four things: 1) Primary PCI-E x16 slot (video card #1), 2) Secondary PCI-E x16 slot (video card #2), 3) PCI-E 3.0 x4 M.2 socket, and 4) All six chipset SATA6G ports?
