i have the asrock extreme4 motherboard with a 5820k and a kraken x61 on it. i am curious when i turn my computer off, once its off my keyboard stays lit and so does the light on my kraken. is there a way to fix this so they turn off when the computer is shut off like they should be. my mouse doesn't seem to do this so i am sure its usb port related. thanks for the help guys

I remember I never had this problem on my 6700k setup. Is it bios related or strictly a setting in windows??

The article I linked to said it is a Windows setting.

Not to be rude, but did you even read it or try the suggested changes? If you Google "USB stays on after shutting down PC", the whole first page is filled with the same suggestion. I can also download and read your motherboard manual if you'd like me to do that for you!?

Not to be truly rude, but c'mon man. I took the time, and linked the likely fix for you, and you didn't even read it or try it out, and you seriously want me to download and read your motherboard manual? When I have a issue with one of my PCs, I try to figure it on my own before taking the time to post a question asking for help. It's how you learn.

wow, so helpful you are. maybe i'll remember this.

Doubtful. However, I'll remember to not click on your future threads.

Instead of taking the time to even try to help yourself, you instead create a help thread here and a duplicate one over at Linus. In my book that's just laziness, and if you are going to be upgrading your "slow" PC every 6 months, I suggest you put some effort into reading a manual or Googling......or at least trying out the solution when someone tries to help you.

I have that exact board, and had the exact same problem! I was like 'arrrrrgh! why is this happening?'
Working perfectly now though :)
