ASRock X79 Extreme6 supports ECC?

Hey Anandtech community,

I had a quick question regarding memory compatibilty on the ASRock X79 Extreme6 motherboard. I was planning on building a work station build and was going to use the intel xeon E5 series processors with ECC memory, which it says it supports. But my question is, will the ECC functionality be 100% functional because I will be needing it for my work purposes. In other words, I don't JUST want the memory to be compatible as in successfully booting, but I need the error correcting feature to be working. The memory I am planning to use is 8 sticks of kingston 4gb unbuffered ecc, DDR3 1333: KVR1333D3E9S/4G
The official motherboard memory compatibility list DOES list this as compatible, but I just want to verify with people on the forum. Thanks for everyone help on the matter.
