How does ASRock ship back RMAs? Do they have their own boxes or do they recycle?
I had to RMA a new ASRock Z87 board. I don't know how in my years of building systems I bent pins on the socket. I never inspected the board before building it so I'm not sure when/how the damage occurred. This damage killed any warranty so I had to pay $50 for a replacement.
After a couple weeks, I received the replacement board from ASRock. It was a beat-up box with my shipping label taped over the last person who RMA'd their ASRock board! I think I got the board returned by S. Sudman from Plantation FL. I really suspect they turned around and sent me someone else's defective product. The board would not power up with two different working PSUs but the board did start smoking. I cut the power and got a new board from Microcenter today and now everything is fine with all the same hardware (minus the board).
