Hi!

FIY, this is my system:

So I've bought myself a i5-3470 but to run it on my board I need BIOS update 3.10. On the ASRock download page it supplies a windows installer for 3.10, NO instant flash exists for my motherboard for 3.10 (or at least that I know of). To install the update I left my old CPU in there for now, a i3-2100.

When I try to run the installer(as administrator as the guide says) it tries to start up, displaying the warning to close other programs and then spits out this error: "Error: Firmware does not have flash (AFUWINGUI) support."

I'm 100% sure this CPU works with my motherboard, it's listed on the supported CPUs list on ASRock's support website.

The other 2 needed installs for Ivy Bridge are installed and work fine(I think).

Sooo... help? I want to get to work with this new CPU.

Thanks!

Confirm that you have the correct motherboard BIOS file.

Look on your mobo for the exact model, or run CPU-Z and see what it gives for the motherboard model.

There is a Pro3 and a Pro3 SE

I have the Pro3, I'm sure I have the right BIOS file.

Hi again, the ASRock support replies very swiftly with a Flushable version of the BIOS, I flashed it and everything works now!

Big up to the folks over at ASRock! :) Excellent service.

Glad you got it going.

I tried to extract the bios from the Windows exe file, but had no luck.
