I've just put in the new 4x4 sticks of Gskill ram and it worked great for a few days. Recently, I've been getting bluescreen followed by no boot. Looking at the motherboard diagnostic LED, it shows it is stuck at 45.

Looking up error 45, it is a memory issue. I've taken out the sticks and put them back in and it works fine again for a few days, then it goes back to error 45.

Should I...

1. RMA the new memory because of intermittant issues?
2. RMA the motherboard because of intermittant issues?
3. Find the true reason why error 45 pops up once in a while?
4. Post my issues somewhere else?
5. Cry over my worthless degree?

Specs in sig.

Hi Kai

would start with Memtest:

http://www.memtest.org/

Download, burn the ISO, let it run.

Test all sticks, if problem test them one by one.

If all sticks bad--unlikely, really--implies a mobo problem.

Sorry about your useless degree; it's not as bad as your student loans though. That is bad.

Nope, that's not me. Thanks for the help. Memtest had no errors then bluescreen and error 45.

Looks like I'm going to RMA my motherboard. I should have done this long ago considering it's still GEN 1.

Thanks for the help.
