Asrock overclockers-BIOS or AXTU?

How many of you with Asrock mobos that are overclocking use the AXTU util for your settings, or just make them in the BIOS? My understanding of the difference is that using the util only puts the setting in place once the it is up and running on the desktop, whereas BIOS settings have the system boot up with them, correct? Is there any advantage to one over the other?

The AXTU util seems a bit easier to understand, as the basic settings are all there on the o/c panel, but it's slow to start, so I'm wondering if, once I've used it to get settings I know are stable, to just make those in the BIOS and leave them, with running the util. Any guidance here is appreciated.

I just completed by build today and tried some light OC. I didn't notice much of a difference between the BIOS or AXTU. I set the multiplier in the AXTU, hit apply and hit 4.6ghz easily.

I'm not sure how accurate the voltage and temp readings are though.

I'm getting about 3 degrees higher temp reported by the BIOS; more than that I might be concerned with. I'll probably just transfer the AXTU settings I know are stable to the BIOS and leave it at that. One note: I replaced both my CPU and case fan with Gelid silent models that use only a 3-pin header. This connection no longer lets me adjust fans speed, but this is a non-issue with these fans, as they only run at about 800-825 RPM (but are dead quiet!). What I don't like is the AXTU util does not read the fan speeds consistently, so it is even less useful than it was before. Looks like I'll ditch it.

After playing around for a few more hours, I'm using CPU ID for all montoring as I don't have much faith in the AXTU. However, I'm using the AXTU to make multiplier changes and testing. I'm not comfortable making voltage changes until I read up more. I'm slowly creeping up the multi while keeping and eye on voltage and temps. Using Prime 95 torture test for that part.
