i am curently looking for a good motherboard for AMD Duron/XP cpu's but i want it to have SDRAM slots. i have selected these three motherboards because i can order them easily:

ECS K7S5A (L) 52.4 US $
SHUTTLE AK32A 61.5 US $
ASROCK K7VT2 61.8 US $

i have seen the ecs mb and i think it's very good but i have heard rummors on the internet
that the AsRock motherboards are actually build by ASUS. if this is true I think this is the board I will buy. What i want to know : is it made by Asus ? Is it better than Shuttle or ECS ?
What would you choose from these 3 motherboards ?

thanks

ASROCK is the low-cost division of ASUS.

I don't have any experience with ASROCK boards, but I do have experience with the ECS board - particularly the K7S5A board - I own 7 of them. :D

BTW, keep an eye on NewEgg.com in their Refurb section - periodically they have batches of that model for just $35.00 each. :)

Its a division of Amptron. Unless Amptron is owned by Asus.

I could bet some money that ASRock boards are built by ECS - they look almost exactly the same. Maybe ASUS designs/tests these boards though ;).

Amptron is Asrock's authorized distributor in the United States.

Amptron's website seems to be having problems.
